Dear friends and colleagues,
I’ve created a series of free online initiatives during the month of April, 2020. These include a do-it-yourself vocal workout and a series of one-hour group discussions.
Groups are limited to 12 participants. To sign up, please send me an email with your choice(s) of theme and day of discussion. For now, limit yourself to two appointments, the better to allow other people to sign up. If you’re interested in more than two appointments, let me know and I’ll put you on a waiting list.
We’ll be using Zoom, a very useful online interface. I’ll send you a link to our Zoom session a few minutes before the appointed hour.
A note about time zones: Most discussions take place at 6 PM Paris. This is 5 PM in London and Lisbon, 12 noon in New York, 11 AM in Chicago, 9 AM in Los Angeles . . . please calculate the time difference between Paris and your home city before signing up for a discussion. Two of the discussions take place at 10 AM Paris, for the convenience of people living in Sydney, Melbourne, and elsewhere in the East. 10 AM in Paris is 6 PM in Sydney.
Any questions? Just send me an email. — Pedro de Alcantara
1. The 5-Minute Voice. Starting on April 1st, 2020 I’ll re-post the 52 video clips from my series The 5-Minute Voice on my YouTube channel, at the rate of one clip a day. I’ll leave each clip online for 72 hours, after which the clip will become private again. What’s the philosophy behind these playful clips? Have fun, create vibrations, and acknowledge that the voice is a powerful and intimate dimension of your life.
The 5-Minute Hour (one-hour vocal practice) We’ll meet to go over some of the materials from the video clips. Open to all comers.
