April, 2008 The Oxford University Press has awarded me the editorship of a book series. Titled THE INTEGRATED MUSICIAN, the series will be based on my music work as encapsulated in my books Indirect Procedures and The Integrated Musician.
March 19, 2008 I'll be giving a presentation for writers at WICE Paris. The subject of my presentation is my creative working methods.
March, 2008 My short story "Alma Paterson Wins Another Round" has been accepted for publication in an anthology by Scholastic, a major British publisher. The anthology is set to come out in August, 2008, in connection with the National Year of Reading.

April, 2007 Susan Cohen, a literary agent at Writers' House, New York City, has accepted to represent my book Rhythm & Flow in a Writer's Career.
March 7-10, 2007 I'll present my lecture/demonstration “Buckminster's Fiddle” at the ASTA national conference in Detroit, Michigan. In it I introduce a dozen ideas from mechanical engineering that clarify the workings of the human body and enhance string playing. Topics include mechanical advantage, stress, strain, momentum, inertia, friction, kinetic energy, and tensegrity — the brainchild of inventor and visionary Buckminster Fuller.

September, 2006 Strings Magazine has accepted an article for publication in the near future. Titled “The (Dis)Pleasure Principle,” it gives string players and other musicians pointers on how to increase the pleasure and usefulness of daily practice. Watch this space for an update.

December, 2005 Random House, the publisher of my novel Befiddled, has awarded me a contract for a new children’s novel. Tentatively titled Latrella Rewinds, it’s a time-travel epic that takes place in New York City during the first half of the 20th century. No publication date has been set.
November, 2005 I’ll be teaching master classes at the Shepherd School of Music, Rice University (Houston , Texas) from November 15 to 19.
November, 2005 Delacorte, an imprint of Random House, is publishing my children’s novel Befiddled.
July, 2005 The Oxford University Press has announced that the publishing house Shunjusha is preparing a Japanese translation of Indirect Procedures. Expected publication date is 2007.

June/July, 2004 I'll be teaching the Alexander Technique and the cello, and coaching chamber music as well, at New York University's seminar for young string players, aged 15 to 25.The seminar lasts three weeks (June 28 to July 17) and focus intensely on the string quartet repertory. April/May, 2004 The Strad, the world's foremost magazine for string players, published the first of my two articles about the messa di voce, the subtle art of executing crescendi and diminuendi, in its May issue. The second part will appear in the June issue, available in late May.
