Some recording artists I've worked with:

I studied with Aldo Parisot, professor of cello at Yale School of Music, from 1981 to 1983. What I learned from him serves me today as the basis of my own cello teaching. The interview below, informative and entertaining, shows the relationship between Mr. Parisot's teaching style - in particular his emphasis on use of the back and legs and on the anticipation of movements such as left-hand shifts - and some of the principles of the Alexander Technique. Mr. Parisot has never studied the Technique; that his teaching should in some ways coincide with it hints at the universality of the Technique's principles.

The jazz drummer Papa Joe Jones (1911-1985) was considered the finest drummer in swing and bop by his peers. He displayed, intuitively, the qualities of coordination and grace that students of the Alexander Technique seek to acquire through lessons. His smile alone was enough to make you want to dance.
